Colette Montgomery
Vice President
Colette C. Montgomery was born in Washington, D.C but spent most of her childhood in Harlem, NY. After graduating from the Frederick Douglass Academy, Colette moved to Syracuse to attend Le Moyne College. While at Le Moyne, Colette majored in Criminology and held various positions on campus including the programming board, orientation committee, and residence life. Colette also interned for the Vice President of Student Development as well as for the Director of Multicultural Affairs.
After graduation, Colette attended Syracuse University where she earned her Master’s Degree in Higher Education. While at Syracuse University, Colette was the Graduate Assistant for First Year and Transfer Programs. In that position, she advised the Transfer Student Mentors as well as members of The First- a club dedicated to first-generation college students.
Currently, Colette works at Le Moyne College as the Assistant Director of Multicultural Admissions. She also is the moderator for the Le Moyne Dolphin Steppers and is very active with the youth at her church- Bethany Baptist Church. In addition, she currently serves on the Executive Board of the Image Initiative, Inc. Colette is very passionate about equal access to education and hopes to one day be able to level the playing field.
